EFMP Respite Care Webinars – 4 Sep and 12 Sep

(Posted on behalf of Air Force Services Center)

Effective 1 Oct 19, the Air Force Services Center Child and Youth Programs (AFSVC CYP), under a contract to civilian conversion, will assume operational responsibility for the EFMP Respite Care Program.

The EFMP Respite Care Program is designed to assist Air Force families with short-term, specialized child care (to help reduce the stresses associated with caring for an exceptional family member). Sibling care is available up to age 13 years.

By bringing the EFMP Respite Program under the operational arm at AFSVC CYP, the EFMP families will continue to receive their existing services (as long as the family meets the eligibility requirements and are funding is available, currently funded for FY20) and are also eligible to participate in additional programs offered under the Air Force Family Child Care Expanded Child Care Program (AF FCC ECC) using their respite care provider.

EFMP families assigned to an active duty location will need to register with their FCC/Community Outreach Office who will enroll them in the AFSVC CYP online system. EFMP families assigned to other locations will contact our POCs listed below to enroll (takes approximately 10 minutes). Once enrolled, all EFMP families will send their schedules (prior to care being provided) to their POC who will input it in the online system for approval.

We will conduct multiple informational webinars (60 minutes) for AF leaders and EFMP families on 4 Sep and 12 Sep, times are based on Central Daylight Savings Time:

4 Sep 19 at 8:00AM, 10:00AM, 1:00PM, 5:00PM, 7:00PM, and 8:30PM (Central)

12 Sep 19 at 6:00AM, 9:00AM, 12:00AM, and 2:00AM (Central)
